Northern Futures 10

Northern Futures entries are welcomed from students or professionals aged between 21-40 living or working in the north of England (as defined by Arts Council areas Yorkshire, North West and North East).

Entry Criteria

Work entered into the Northern Futures Awards must have been:

• Created in the last 2 years of entry, from 2007 onwards
• You must own copyright or intellectual property on your entry
• Approved by clients for inclusion within Northern Futures

Submission of Entries

• All submissions should be made via the Northern Futures online submission system at www.northernfutures.co.uk
• Please read entry requirements for each Category as these will differ between catagories.You must register your details and pay the £20 entry fee through the official entry form before you can submit your entry. Entries will not be accepted by any other means. Information provided on the entry forms and through submissions will form the basis for information which will be posted on the Northern Futures website for short listed and winning entries.
• You can submit a maximum of three entries in each of the category. Each entry must be a separate project and should have no relation to each other.
• You can enter the same piece of work into different categories as long at the project is relevant to the brief outlined for each category that the work is entered into.
• Each entry must be accompanied by a rationale (a written submission)
• which describes the entry.
• The judges reserve the right to re-categorise entries if they consider
• another category to be more suitable.We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to materials submitted.
• The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Checklist

• Please ensure you have read and fulfilled all of the Conditions of Entry.
• Please see the category pages for specific entry requirements
• regarding each discipline.
• Please follow the submission criteria for each category.
• Submitted files should not exceed 20MB.
• When using JPEG’s please ensure they are in RGB format and at a high enough resolution to be judged properly.
• All PDF entries must not exceed four pages.
• In the case of Digital Media please supply URL links to online videos
• hosted by YouTube for example.
• When supplying Quicktime files please make sure they are compressed
• and no bigger than 20mb.
